East Manchester has a fascinating selection of cultural and heritage attractions to visit.
From the Victorian ‘high gothic’ of The Monastery to one of the city’s best-loved music venues in Ancoats, there’s a variety of reasons to head out east. Take your pick from medieval moats, historic houses, comedy clubs, and a trail of original artworks highlighting the area’s remarkable industrial heritage, as a few examples.
And there’s even more in the pipeline. Exciting and ambitious plans are currently being developed to bring a world-class new visitor attraction to Eastlands, on land adjacent to the iconic City of Manchester Stadium.
