The Homes and Communities Agency has announced Kickstart funding support for the Ancoats development, Sarah Point, in its latest round of regeneration grants.
This partially built office and residential development was put on hold when its owners filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of the recession. The Kickstart funding will allow the project to recommence under new owners, UK Land & Property, ensuring that this prime site fronting onto Great Ancoats Street becomes a fitting introduction to what Ancoats has to offer.
The revitalised scheme will deliver 166 new affordable homes of which 126 will be for open market sale and 40 will be for low cost home ownership.
