This series of installations in buildings and in public spaces have been developed by Ancoats’ own artist-in-residence, Dan Dubowitz.
The Peeps are a series of peep holes into buildings and structures across Ancoats, providing glimpses into the former life of Ancoats as the world’s first industrial suburb. They are all visible from the streets and include an inside ‘peep’ into a tunnel, a bell tower, a toilet, and even a mill interior that has been closed up since the Second World War.
