Eastlands has one of the biggest concentration of sporting venues in Europe, as well as acres of green space, shops and leisure facilities and a range of canalside residential developments.
The sports facilities at Eastlands are the enduring legacy of Manchester’s highly-acclaimed 2002 Commonwealth Games and include the City of Manchester Stadium, the National Cycling Centre, the National Squash Centre, the Regional Tennis Centre and the Regional Athletics Arena. New developments in the pipeline include a new Velopark and a the national BMX Centre, currently under construction on land adjacent to the Velodrome.
