A new vision is revitalising this residential neighbourhood to take advantage of its proximity to the city centre and to the superb leisure facilities at Eastlands.
Miles Platting’s great advantage has always been its location – being so close to the city centre is a major positive, but up to now it’s been short of some of the facilities required to make it a great place to live.
However, new plans to improve both the available housing and the local environment aim to transform this burgeoning urban community, attracting new residents to the area.
New housing developments will create over 1,000 brand new homes, with a mix of family houses and apartments, ranging in style from the type of cutting-edge modern properties found, for example, in the new developments in Beswick, to more traditional homes, including 1500 newly refurbished council houses.
Included in the ambitious plans for the area are new public services, retail and a new primary school.
