And with two new Metrolink lines through East Manchester due to open in 2012, the area is soon going to be even better connected.

The new Oldham line through the north of the area will put business locations such as The Sharp Project and Central Park within just a few minutes travel time of Piccadilly station, while the new East Manchester line will make some of the area’s great attractions, such as the City of Manchester Stadium, the National Cycling Centre and the green spaces of Philips Park and Clayton Vale, much more accessible for visitors.

Neighbourhoods like Ancoats, New Islington and Beswick run right up to the heart of Manchester city centre, providing urban living and business locations that are within a stone’s throw of Piccadilly station, the nearby Northern Quarter and everything the city has to offer.

At the eastern edge, areas like Newton Heath and Openshaw are all easily accessible from the city centre, whilst also having the benefit of nearby motorway connections to connect into the wider Northwest region.
