Due for completion in Autumn 2010, this elegant new bridge over the canal will make a quick and easy connection between Ancoats and New Islington.
New Islington residents will soon have much better access to Ancoats, with this new bridge sweeping across from one side of the Rochdale Canal and back again, creating a sinuous, snaking curve. Underneath, the words ‘cast no shadow’ are reflected in the water, providing a colourful and quirky counterpoint to the architecture above.
