Set in 130 acres, Debdale offers extensive sports and leisure facilities including tennis courts, bowling greens, a basketball court, football pitches and 5-a-side grass pitch, a skateboarding ramp, a 9 hole pitch and putt golf area, and a children’s play area. The nearby reservoirs provide opportunities for fishing and boating, with a dedicated water sports and outdoor activity centre too.
Its location adjacent to Gorton reservoirs means that it is a natural home to a great diversity of wildlife. Wooded areas are managed to provide a natural habitat for birds and insects with lots of tree cover and numerous bird and bat boxes positioned around the site for children.
Debdale also hosts a range of events and activities during the year, from an annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display, a family carol service, family Easter egg hunt and a Halloween Fun Event to regular 3.5km fun runs and sports competitions. It also stages 'Off The Street Soccer' sessions during the summer season.
