FC United plans new stadium at Newton Heath
Coming soon
FC United will build their new £3.5m stadium in Newton Heath, the original birthplace of Manchester United.
The semi-professional club, born out of the anti-Glazer movement at Manchester United five years ago hope to have moved into their new base by 2013.
Plans will see the community stadium have a capacity of 5,000 and be built on council land off Ten Acres Lane in Newton Heath.
The design includes the renovation of an existing sports centre and artificial football pitches. Plans also include community facilities to be devised in consultation with local residents.
