New primary gets top marks in green test

Park View Community School in Miles Platting has been given an award for being one of the greenest in the country.
The £7m development which opened its doors at the beginning of September got top marks in the government’s low carbon and high efficiency leagues.
Headteacher John Tennant told Manchester Evening News: “We are delighted with the new facilities and the low energy measures.
“Our pupils are very energy conscious and enjoyed coming up with energy efficient ideas when we first started design.”
